Over the weekend I decided to start on a memo board for my kitchen as I'm constantly in need of reminder of what's happening lately! Between school tours, plays and ongoing exams my brain is a bit fuzzy to say the least and hopefully this will keep a few things in order for me!
I just used an old canvas I no longer needed and covered it with some stone coloured material. I would have preferred to use burlap but I could not source any locally.
My OH did very kindly assist me in stapling the back with the staple gun and pulling the material tight so as not to have any unsightly lumps and bumps! For a final touch I then added some silver staples down the sides to give it a little lift in appearance...
Now I'm sure it won't be long before it's filled with all sorts of notes and cards!!
Hope you all have a good day!
Anne xx

DeleteLooks really good - I'm impressed. I did something similar for making a huge screen to disguise my hanging rails and I used some really pretty upholstery pins to finish it off. Have been laying off the house stuff for a while but I think it's time to get the paintbrushes out and dust off the sewing machine. Time to get going methinks - thanks for the inspiring house posts!
