Morning :)
Happy new week to you all! As I mentioned before I have two upcoming events which require a dress for each. Sarah has confirmation in early March so I need to get a dress sorted for that soon. Weather could be a bit dodgy so I'm looking for a style to be worn with blazer or cardi and I can shed layers should the sun decide to blast from the heavens! Definitely wishful thinking on my part!! Here are a couple of styles I'm leaning towards ...
I saw this dress last week in Cos in BT 2 Dundrum and it looked lovely on the mannequin styled with a toning belt. I think it could work well with a blazer, heels and oversized clutch. It is made of 100% silk so it should fit well.
I am mad about this one also that I came across on Flannels. It is by my favourite designer Malene Birger and reduced in price so it would be a great buy ... just hard to know if that cream colour would actually look as good in reality. Again I think it could work with a smart blazer and nice clutch.
Lastly Coast are one of my favourite stores for occasion dresses.... love the simplicity and colour of this Mairead blue dress.
I will keep looking and have another shopping trip planned this week, so I'm hoping to get time to actually try on a few styles.
Anne xx

All of them are beautiful but my favorite is the second one and I think you would look awesome in it!
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!
xoxo MM
It looks good in photo...will think aboiut it!
DeleteThe cobalt blue dress would see you through the spring and summer - a gorgeous shade.

Have a thing for blue at the moment!
DeleteDefinitely the second dress. It's a classic shape and you can never go wrong with black and white. I think it suits a blazer or cardi best too.
ReplyDeleteHappy Shopping!
I love it Eleanor...just not sure about the actual colour and sizing...suppose could try it and return if not suitable:)
DeleteI have to admit that I do not like the top one, I think the second one is fantastic and I also like the third one. Take care Diane
ReplyDeleteI agree the photo is not doing too much for the Cos dress but the colour looked more vibrant in the shop. would definitely have to try it on!
DeleteMy favourites are the cream one and the blue. I think you could wear either again as well. You'd look gorgeous in anything Anne! Have a lovely week. Xx
ReplyDeleteThanks claire... will have another scout around this week:)
DeleteMy favorite is the red one, what a great pop of color but I would definitely cinch it with a belt.
ReplyDeleteHow is your ankle??
Yes it would definitely need the belt! The ankle is still bruised but at least I can walk on it Jill:)
DeleteI would love the Cos dress, great colour for a march day out. And add belt....all great options, happy shopping x
ReplyDeleteThe colour looked lovely...might go back and try on now!
DeleteLove the second dress - it would even look pretty with black boots if it was chilly outside :-)
ReplyDeleteYes... I like to buy a style I can use in other ways!
DeleteYes, the second dress is absolutely amazing :)
ReplyDeleteLove the shape!
DeleteLove the red dress! :-)
ReplyDeleteIt is a good colour:)
DeleteThanks for showing us the Cos dress, I haven't been on their site lately and must confess that dress is the perfect shape for me xx
ReplyDeleteI have to admit it caught my eye instore! Will need to try on:)
DeleteI am a Marlene birger fan so it's definitely the dress for me
ReplyDeleteCoast has just come here to Bloomingdales and they have lovely things for good prices. That blue one is really flattering
ReplyDeleteThey all look lovely - hard to choose! You'd need to try on the Cos one as their pics are always so bad. But it's a gorgeous colour. I guess the best is the one that you think you'd get most wear out of. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteI love the little Flannels number! It's so versatile and chic!
ReplyDeleteThese dresses are so lovely but the second one is my favorite. It's a very nice selection.
ReplyDeleteHallo Anne!Beautiful dresses!!I like more the 2nd!Very elegent!
