Style Inspiration: Spring Parka Jackets ...

Morning All:

Hope everyone had a lovely weekend! What a gorgeous day it was on Saturday. The sun shone all day and of course Ireland won the rugby match so everyone was in a very jolly old mood! Yesterday was not so sunny so I took Sarah off to Dundrum for some outfit shopping.

In between sorting her out, I was having a sneaky look for myself as to some new Spring  options for my wardrobe! I couldn't help but notice the fabulous selection of parka jackets on sale. Hands down for me they are one of the most versatile pieces you could have for anytime of year! Here are a few options I favoured myself...

Tan parka with contrast piping new in at Zara

Next I spotted two gorgeous styles in Massimo Dutti

I have to say the tan color looked gorgeous styled in store and was great quality if anyone is looking to invest in this style.

A short light version from Oasis

A more basic khaki style from Topshop

I was atually wearing my own khaki parka which I bought in Dunnes early Autumn last year. I have to say I have got such fabulous wear out of it I may go for a beige or tan version for Spring.

Here is a quick shot of it yesterday. I'm headless because Miss 12 snapped so fast eager to get on with her own shopping and my hair was standing on end :) Doubt anyone would want to view that early on a Monday morning!!

As I said earlier we were shopping for dresses for Sarah's confirmation and also my lovely sister in law is getting married in April. I have herself sorted now, but I am still gathering ideas for my own outfits!

Hope you all enjoy the week ahead!
Anne xx

  2. Nice jackets; I particularly like the Massimo Dutti selection. Glad to hear you got Sarah sorted. It's not an easy job to find something for a 12 year old that is appropriate for Confirmaation and that they will actually like & wear!

    1. I was surprised how quick she picked the dresses! As we had two to buy it could have been a nightmare!! Still have to get shoes though which may not be as easy:)

  4. I have last years version of the Topshop parka so it's even plainer as it doesn't have the zip pocket on the breast. I love it - I had to hunt it down as it sold out really quickly last year and they had to get a second batch in. It's quite big on me even though I bought the smallest size they had - all helps a girls esteem though :o)

I do the classic chop off head photo - I have a lot of bad hair days. Bad face days too :o)
