Happy Friday and so a new month begins! Hopefully Spring is arriving too and that awful cold and damp weather will magically disappear!! Anyhow I have so much going on this month I don't think I will have much time to worry about weather :)
Talking of Spring I tweeted yesterday that much as I love buying tulips they always seem to droop real fast! I immediately got several replies all telling me to pierce the stem under the bloom with a needle and they last way longer. Not sure how this works but seemingly it is an old florists trick so I thought it was well worth a try! Here are my tulips this morning post piercing .... looking quite sprightly I think :)
Now onto to some shoe talk.Whilst online last evening I spotted these beauties .... new in at Zara and just had to have them .... I have a feeling they will work well with my Cos dress! Also my youngest daughter pointed out to me during the week that Converse are doing a heeled version in their new range.
I actually quite like this pair from office they would be great for running about town or doing a school run One woman I see regularly at our school wears them all the time with jeans, beautiful knitwear and a tan leather satchel bag ... simple styling but she always manages to look absolutely stunning! The fact there is a slight heel on them is appealing to me as I never feel quite right in flats! Worth a try I think:)

Thanks for the tip about tulips. I haven't been buying them recently as they don't last and I thought it was maybe just too warm in our kitchen. Must try this! The Zara shoes are a lovely colour. I was looking at a few ankle strap styles last Saturday. Enjoy your weekend!

The shoes would be perfect with your dress but your feet may ache at the end of the busy day. I think some tulips seem to not droop so easily and others fall down the moment they go into the vase I will try this tip. A friend wears a blazer, jeans, white shirt and converse and I love this outfit it is so comfortable and chic. Have a fun weekend.
ReplyDeleteGreat tip for the tulips, must try it out, I love tulips too, I got some from the kids for Valentines but they need replacing now!

I also saw those slightly wedged Converse during the week and have to say I think they're great. I don't wear Converse as I find them too flat for me ... but this wedge pair look like a definite possibility as I reckon I'd get a lot of wear out of them. Great shoes too by the way. Helen
ReplyDeleteWhat a good tip about the tulips - I'll have to try that.
ReplyDeleteI think I saw those Zara shoes on another blog, and they look gorgeous. Although I'm not too keen on the straighter heel that seems to be the thing this year. I like a curvy, sensuous heel.
I think the perfect way to welcome spring is with a new pairs of heels!!
